The challenges of Moving to a new Country

Suit cases are packed, tickets are booked, documents are ready, excitement is in the air.... Whether you're venturing out for a new job or moving for immigration... moving abroad to a new destination has always been with  mixed emotions of excitement, anxiety, fear of what to expect and of course dreams to making it big.  Coming from the industry of Immigration and visas, there is one of the most important questions which we are asked often by our valuable clients ...Permanent Resident Visa Consultants In Hyderabad  What would be the biggest challenges we would face when we move abroad? Although they all move to diverse locations and destinations with varying circumstances but to summarize the biggest issues and challenges are common.

This article will help you to understand the challenges ahead and face them with a realistic approach.

1. Linguistic Transition
Communication is something we take for granted, but when you are in a foreign country you might not be able to walk right up to someone and express yourself. Taking  language lessons once you arrive is a great way to meet people and ease the linguistic transition. Practice the language used in the country and make your dependents practice too.

2. Housing is a top priority
You are in a new country and finding the right accommodation is the basic requirement. You should be practical and think wisely as rentals are high in the downtown and up market areas . To find housing you could find a real estate agent, check classifieds, talk to others who have moved like you or use one of the many online housing providers out there. Yes you can use  AirBnb, will let you rent places by the month but it might not be the most economical. You can also take the service of the consultancy who helped you secure the visa.

3. Medical.
It's important to be aware of the medical services available in your communities, and how they are rated for quality and consistency, as well as access to prescription medications.

4. Buying a car
Your first instinct may be to plant "roots" by buying a home, a car, etc. but it's best to give it some time. Don't make any major purchases until you thoroughly understand your requirements. Most of the countries have a good public transportation system, use it. You would also take time if the country you are moving to has a different hand drive.

6. Safety.
The reality is that you have to be careful no matter where you are in the world, but with some common sense you can stay safe. Don't walk around with jewelry, don't show off valuables, don't go into bad areas, befriend locals to show you around and watch after you, don't walk around late at night. Every country suffers from street crime problems, we require to be safe than sorry.

7. Getting a Social Life
Leaving behind your established social network to move somewhere new can leave you isolated – unless you replace it with new friends and activities. Integrating into your local community is a key ingredient in making your move a long-term success.

8. Acclimatizing to the local weather
Each geographical location has its own typical weather condition. You would need time to get used to the new environmental conditions around you.

9. Earning your Living
It might take you awhile before you can get the right job in the new location. life isn't quite as cheap as they anticipated and the savings goes fast, so you'll have some decisions to make about earning money.

Moving your location and changing your country is not an easy task .It's a big decision and like they say that the best things happen to those who take the risk and have the patience to wait. Conquering  and making a new life, a new home in a new land is just THE best thing. So take the plunge and remember be prepared. Also go through Business Visit Visa Consultants In Hyderabad

Canada Immigration Statistics

Each year, Canada receives thousands of immigrants from all over the world. The country welcomes foreign students, temporary foreign workers, immigrants, and refugees from over 200 countries.

Immigrants settle in all provinces and territories, but as the infograph shows, 7 out of 10 newcomers (or 51 percent in 2011) choose to settle in Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto. Most immigrants prefer urban areas to predominantly rural regions. Thus, provinces with large urban centres such as British Columbia and Ontario attract the most immigrants. In fact, the infograph illustrates that 40 percent of all permanent residents settle in Ontario, and less than 1 percent chooses Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and Yukon. The rural regions of the five eastern provinces and Saskatchewan receive the least immigrants. Therefore checkout Canada Immigration Consultants In Hyderabad

These findings are important in light of the fact that immigration is the main driving force of population growth. The Atlantic provinces receive fewer immigrants, and retention rates are considerably lower. Retention rates range from 43 to 68 percent in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Atlantic provinces and from 79 to 91 percent in Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. There are two challenges that call for a community development strategy – to attract immigrant groups to the provinces with lower retention rates and to keep them there. Community development strategies help meet the long-term requirements of the labor market as well as regional skill shortages. The aim is to attract and retain skilled and qualified workers across Canada.
The infograph also presents information about immigrants by gender and offers two graphs, showing the percentage distribution of immigrants by continent and status. Most immigrants come from Asia (79 percent) and the least from Africa (4 percent). The figures are 11 percent for Europe and 6 percent for the United States. These numbers are important given that different population groups may face different and unique challenges.

A study by Desai and Subramanian, for example, reveals that adolescents of South Asian origin face adjustment problems in addition to developmental challenges. The reason is that they face conflicts between the culture of origin and the host culture.

The second graph is important in that it shows that immigrants come to Canada with different experiences (business immigrants, economic immigrants, family class, etc). Many of them are selected based on their qualifications and skills. There are myths and misconceptions about immigrants that create negative attitudes toward them. Many believe, for example, that immigrants prefer to live on social assistance and are drain on society. Another myth is that newcomers are uneducated and unskilled and receive special treatment. In fact, the graph illustrates that the majority of newcomers or 63 percent of them are economic immigrants, followed by family class (23 percent). The economic class includes provincial nominees, business immigrants, and skilled workers who are selected based on their qualifications, skills, and abi Canada Immigration Consultants In Hyderabad lity to contribute to Canada’s economy. The group of business immigrants encompasses investors, self-employed people, and entrepreneurs. Refugees and other immigrants represent 11 percent and 3 percent of all immigrants.Find out Canada Immigration Consultants In Hyderabad

Regardless of their status, newcomers are entitled to the same treatment as Canada-born citizens. They have to declare income and pay taxes and receive the same tax credits (Harmonized Sales Tax and Child Tax Benefit) as Canadians. Immigrants are not eligible to receive additional tax credits. Moreover, they rely less on social assistance than other groups.

In sum, the infograph gives an insight into broader immigration trends that can help outline and improve community development strategies, thus facilitating economic growth and wellbeing. The infograph also shows that while different immigrant groups may face different challenges, the majority of newcomers are selected based on skills and educational qualifications.
